At which London studio did Queen record much of their debut album?

The story behind the answer

Queen recorded much of their debut album at Trident Studios in London.

Queen, the band’s first studio album, was released in 1973. The group recorded it during periods when Trident’s main studio was available, often using off-peak or otherwise limited access. This arrangement gave the emerging band access to professional equipment while working within the constraints of a new recording contract.

Trident was an important London recording facility associated with artists including David Bowie and Elton John. Queen’s early work there helped establish the polished, layered production heard on songs such as “Keep Yourself Alive” and “Liar.”

The album’s credits also involve other recording locations and production personnel, so Trident should not be interpreted as the only place connected with every recording session. It is the key studio most specifically associated with much of the debut album’s recording history.
