At the 2026 SAG Awards, which category did Amy Madigan win for Weapons?
Answer
Female Actor in a Supporting Role
At the 2026 SAG Awards, Amy Madigan won Female Actor in a Supporting Role for Weapons.
Madigan portrayed Gladys in Weapons, a mystery horror film written and directed by Zach Cregger. The film follows the unsettling disappearance of children from the same classroom and the effects of that event on their families and community.
The supporting-film-actor category honors a standout performance in a role that is not classified as the film’s leading part. Madigan won against nominees including Odessa A’zion, Ariana Grande, Wunmi Mosaku, and Teyana Taylor. The result gave Weapons one of the ceremony’s individual film acting victories.
The category should not be confused with the television supporting categories, which are presented separately for drama and comedy series. It is also distinct from the ensemble award, where voters recognize the collective performance of a film cast rather than one performer.
