At launch, Pokémon Pokopia included 300 Pokémon.
The launch roster contained 300 selected Pokémon from Generations I through IX. These species are integrated into the game's habitat-building structure, where players attract Pokémon by creating environments that match their preferences.
Pokopia's roster should not be confused with the full number of Pokémon species in the franchise. The game uses a curated selection suited to its world-building mechanics, and later downloadable content can add further Pokémon-related content without changing the original launch total.
The number also differs from the classic 151 Pokémon of the original Kanto games. Although Pokopia takes place in a post-apocalyptic version of Kanto, its roster reaches across nine generations. That combination of a Kanto setting and a multi-generation cast is one reason the total is larger than the original regional Pokédex.
