Answer
Ptolemaic Egypt
Assassin’s Creed Origins is mainly set in Ptolemaic Egypt.
The game takes place in the first century BCE, during the final period of the Ptolemaic Kingdom. Its protagonist, Bayek of Siwa, is a Medjay who investigates threats to his family and gradually helps form the group that becomes the Hidden Ones, the historical predecessor of the Assassin Brotherhood.
The setting includes Alexandria, Memphis, Siwa, and other parts of Egypt, along with territories connected to the Roman and Ptolemaic worlds. Cleopatra VII and Julius Caesar appear as historical figures. Origins also introduced a more expansive role-playing structure, including levels, equipment, skill trees, and a large explorable map.
