Assassin's Creed Liberation was first released for which gaming platform?
Answer
PlayStation Vita
Answer
PlayStation Vita
Assassin's Creed Liberation was first released for PlayStation Vita.
Ubisoft released Liberation in 2012 as a companion title to Assassin's Creed III. It stars Aveline de Grandpré, a French and African Assassin operating in eighteenth-century Louisiana. The game uses the PlayStation Vita's touchscreen and camera features, and its portable design helped distinguish it from the console-focused main entries.
Aveline's story takes place in and around New Orleans, the Louisiana bayou, and Chichén Itzá. She uses three personas—an Assassin, a lady, and a slave—to approach different situations and access different abilities. The game also connects to the wider series through its Assassin and Templar conflict.
Liberation was later remastered and released on other platforms as Assassin's Creed Liberation HD, which can cause confusion about its original hardware. Its first release was specifically for Sony's PlayStation Vita. It should also not be confused with the PlayStation Portable, an earlier Sony handheld.
