Jenny Zhang wrote the teleplay for episode 10 of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3, titled “Last Year.”
The episode premiered on September 10, 2025, one week before the series finale. It follows Belly as she stays in Paris, works two jobs, and continues her college classes online. Taylor and Steven move in together, while Jeremiah faces financial consequences after lying about returning to college.
Conrad begins sending Belly letters, but she initially tells Taylor that she is not writing back. Belly also begins casually dating Benito after they kiss on New Year’s Eve. Later, Jeremiah and Conrad reconcile at their mother’s grave, and Jeremiah encourages Conrad to pursue Belly.
Jenny Zhang previously wrote for the series and also wrote the teleplay for season 2’s first episode, “Love Lost.” Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka co-wrote the season 3 finale, “At Last,” so they are distinct from the sole writer of episode 10.
