Which character is injured in a car accident in season 3 of The Summer I Turned Pretty?

Steven Conklin is injured in a car accident in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3.

The accident occurs early in the final season and leaves Steven recovering while Taylor tries to sort out their complicated relationship. Their storyline develops alongside the larger engagement and wedding plot, with both characters forced to reconsider the feelings that remain between them after their breakup.

Steven is Belly’s older brother and Laurel’s son, and he is played by Sean Kaufman. The accident should not be confused with Conrad’s later surfing injury. Conrad cuts his leg at the beach house after surfing, while Steven’s injury comes from the car accident. Keeping those two incidents separate is important when following the season’s parallel character arcs.
