Who wrote the story of Pokémon Pokopia?

Masao Taya wrote the story of Pokémon Pokopia.

The game’s credits list Masao Taya as its writer. That role covers the narrative framework behind a world where a transformed Ditto helps restore a damaged environment and supports Pokémon living there.

Pokopia’s story serves a different purpose from the plots of many main-series Pokémon games. Instead of sending the player through a conventional sequence of gyms and league battles, it gives context to rebuilding, friendship, exploration, and the creation of Pokémon habitats.

Shigeru Ohmori and Takuto Edagawa were directors, not the credited writer. Marina Ayano was credited as the artist. These names are all connected with the game, which makes them reasonable wrong answers, but the question specifically asks who wrote the story rather than who directed or illustrated the project.
