Answer
Keith Richards and Mick Jagger
Answer
Keith Richards and Mick Jagger
The song “Jumpin' Jack Flash” was written by Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. The Rolling Stones recorded it during the 1968 sessions associated with Beggars Banquet, but released it as a non-album single rather than placing it on that record.
The song marked a return to the band's blues-rock sound after the more psychedelic style of Their Satanic Majesties Request. Richards said the title was inspired by Jack Dyer, a gardener whose footsteps woke him at Richards' country home. Jagger and Richards then developed the lyrics and music together.
Although Bill Wyman later claimed involvement in developing the riff, the official songwriting credit is Jagger–Richards. Brian Jones played on the recording, but he was not credited as a writer. The single was released in 1968 and became a major hit in both the United Kingdom and United States.
