Who wrote the song "Don't Stop Me Now"?

Freddie Mercury wrote the Queen song “Don’t Stop Me Now.” The track was recorded in 1978 during sessions for Queen’s album Jazz and released as a single in January 1979.

Mercury wrote the song around an exuberant, almost unstoppable celebration of freedom and pleasure. He performed the lead vocal and piano, while John Deacon supplied bass, Roger Taylor played drums, and Brian May contributed guitar, including the prominent solo. Although the song sounds like a full-band anthem, its writing and central musical framework came from Mercury.

The song was initially only a moderate chart success, but its reputation grew substantially over time. Its appearances in films, television, advertisements, and especially the 2004 movie Shaun of the Dead helped introduce it to new generations.
