Answer
Glenn Danzig
Answer
Glenn Danzig
Glenn Danzig was the lead singer of the Misfits during their original 1977–1983 era.
Danzig founded the horror-punk band in Lodi, New Jersey, in 1977. He wrote or co-wrote many of the group’s best-known early songs and supplied the deep, dramatic vocal style that became central to the Misfits’ identity. Their imagery drew heavily on horror films, science fiction, and comic-book monsters.
Danzig left the Misfits in 1983, after which the band broke up for several years. He later formed Samhain and then the band Danzig. Jerry Only remained a key Misfits member and bassist, but he was not the original era’s lead singer. Michale Graves joined during the group’s later reunion period.
