Alan Arkin voices Wild Knuckles in Minions: The Rise of Gru. Wild Knuckles is the former leader of the Vicious 6 who becomes a mentor to the young Gru.

The film’s story begins in 1975, when eleven-year-old Gru dreams of joining the Vicious 6. The group has betrayed Wild Knuckles after stealing the Zodiac Stone, setting up his revenge and his unexpected relationship with Gru.

Arkin’s role is easy to mix up with the other Vicious 6 performers. Danny Trejo voices Stronghold, Dolph Lundgren plays Svengeance, and Jean-Claude Van Damme voices Jean-Clawed. The 2022 film was Arkin’s final film role and was released after a two-year delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
