Who voices Herb Overkill in Minions?

Jon Hamm voices Herb Overkill in Minions. Herb is Scarlet Overkill’s husband, a brilliant inventor whose gadgets help the Minions attempt the theft of the Crown Jewels.

Herb is not the film’s main villain; that role belongs to Scarlet, voiced by Sandra Bullock. His inventions provide much of the film’s comic energy, including the machinery and disguise equipment used during the Minions’ chaotic adventures in London.

The casting is an easy place to get confused because Minions features several major Hollywood voices. Michael Keaton plays Walter Nelson, Steve Coogan voices the Tower Guard and Professor Flux, and Steve Carell briefly returns as young Gru. Hamm joined the project after Bullock had been cast as Scarlet, completing the villainous married couple at the center of the story.
