Who voices Ezio Auditore in Assassin's Creed II?

The story behind the answer

Roger Craig Smith voices Ezio Auditore in Assassin's Creed II.

Smith became the English voice of Ezio, the Florentine nobleman who becomes an Assassin after his family is targeted. Ezio is the central character of Assassin's Creed II and returns in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Smith therefore portrays one of the franchise's longest-running protagonists.

Before and alongside his Assassin's Creed work, Smith voiced characters in animation and video games, including Batman in several productions and Sonic the Hedgehog in later games. His performance helped establish Ezio's progression from impulsive young noble to experienced leader.

Nolan North is often confused with Smith because North voices Desmond Miles, the modern-day character who experiences the memories through the Animus. Michael Fassbender played Callum Lynch in the 2016 live-action film, not Ezio, while Claudia Black voices characters in other game series and Assassin's Creed roles.
