Who voices Anna in Disney’s Frozen?

Kristen Bell voices Anna in Disney’s Frozen.

Anna is the younger princess of Arendelle and Elsa’s sister. Bell provides Anna’s speaking voice and also performs several of her musical numbers, including “For the First Time in Forever” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” The character’s energetic, determined personality contrasts with Elsa’s reserved nature.

Kristen Bell was cast during the film’s development and had previously become widely known for television and film roles. In the recording process, she worked with the filmmakers to shape Anna’s comic timing, warmth, and emotional reactions.

A common mix-up is confusing Bell with Idina Menzel, who voices Elsa. Bell returned as Anna for Frozen II and related Frozen productions, while Menzel continued to provide Elsa’s voice.
