Who voiced the character Chip?
Answer
Bradley Pierce
Answer
Bradley Pierce
Bradley Pierce voiced Chip in Disney’s 1991 animated Beauty and the Beast. Chip is the enchanted teacup who is Mrs. Potts’s son and one of the castle servants transformed by the curse.
Pierce recorded the role as a child, giving Chip his youthful, energetic voice. Although Chip has relatively little dialogue compared with Belle, the Beast, or Lumière, he is central to several memorable moments, including the “Be Our Guest” sequence and the escape from the castle’s cellar.
A frequent mix-up comes from other Disney voice actors in the answer choices. Jodi Benson voiced Ariel in The Little Mermaid, while Mara Wilson was known for live-action roles and did not voice Chip. Jonathan Taylor Thomas voiced young Simba in The Lion King, not Chip. Different actors voiced Chip in later adaptations and related productions, but Pierce is the voice of the 1991 film.
