Who voiced Marlin in Finding Nemo?
Answer
Albert Brooks
Answer
Albert Brooks
Albert Brooks voiced Marlin in Finding Nemo.
Marlin is an ocellaris clownfish and the protective father of Nemo. After Nemo is captured by a diver and taken to a dentist’s aquarium in Sydney, Marlin crosses the ocean to find him. His journey with Dory changes him from an anxious, overprotective parent into someone more willing to trust his son and his companions.
Brooks was already known as a comedian, actor, writer, and director before joining Pixar’s production. His dry, nervous delivery gives Marlin much of the film’s comic rhythm while also conveying the character’s fear and grief. The performance is often remembered for balancing frantic parental worry with genuine tenderness.
A common mix-up is confusing Brooks with Billy Crystal, who voiced Mike Wazowski in Monsters, Inc., or Tom Hanks, who voiced Woody in Toy Story. Brooks returned as Marlin in Pixar’s 2016 sequel, Finding Dory, alongside Ellen DeGeneres as Dory.
