Who sang "Morning Train (Nine to Five)", "Sugar Walls" and "For Your Eyes Only"?

The story behind the answer

Sheena Easton sang "Morning Train (Nine to Five)," "Sugar Walls," and "For Your Eyes Only."

The Scottish singer built a distinctive career across pop, adult contemporary, R&B, and film music. Her 1981 single "Morning Train (Nine to Five)" became a No. 1 hit in the United States. It was retitled from "9 to 5" in the U.S. and Canada to avoid confusion with Dolly Parton's hit song and film of the same name.

Easton also performed "For Your Eyes Only," the theme song to the 1981 James Bond film. Written by Bill Conti and Mick Leeson, it reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.

Her 1984 single "Sugar Walls" showed a more provocative side of her musical image. Prince wrote the song under the pseudonym Alexander Nevermind, and its sexually suggestive lyrics drew criticism from the Parents Music Resource Center. The song still reached No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. Because these songs span different periods and styles, listeners may not immediately connect them to the same performer.
