Who released the huge hit album "Tapestry"?

Carole King released the huge hit album Tapestry. Issued on February 10, 1971, it became one of the defining records of the singer-songwriter era and established King as a major solo artist after years of success as a professional songwriter.

Tapestry was produced by Lou Adler and recorded in Los Angeles with musicians including James Taylor and Joni Mitchell contributing to the album’s musical world. Its songs include “It’s Too Late,” “I Feel the Earth Move,” “So Far Away,” “You’ve Got a Friend” and “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.”

Some confusion comes from the fact that King co-wrote several famous songs that became major hits for other performers. “You’ve Got a Friend,” for example, was also recorded by James Taylor, while “Natural Woman” had been famously recorded by Aretha Franklin.
