Who released the country album "Home State"?

The story behind the answer

Jordan Davis released the country album Home State. It was his debut studio album and arrived through MCA Nashville on March 23, 2018.

The Louisiana-born singer and songwriter had moved to Nashville in 2012 and signed with Universal Music Group Nashville before releasing the album. Home State introduced listeners to Davis’s blend of contemporary country and country-pop, led by his breakout single “Singles You Up.” The song became a major country-radio success and helped establish him as a rising artist.

Davis co-wrote every song on the album, while Paul DiGiovanni produced it. Other notable singles included “Take It from Me” and “Slow Dance in a Parking Lot,” with the latter reaching radio in 2019. Home State peaked at No. 6 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and preceded Davis’s second studio album, Bluebird Days, released in 2023.
