Joe Alwyn receives a co-producer credit on Taylor Swift’s “august” alongside Swift and Jack Antonoff.
The track’s credits list Swift, Antonoff, and Alwyn as producers. Swift and Antonoff are also listed as its songwriters, while Alwyn’s credit is tied to production rather than lyric writing.
The credit became clearer after the Recording Academy recognized Alwyn’s contribution following Folklore’s Album of the Year win at the 63rd Grammy Awards. Alwyn used the pseudonym William Bowery on several Folklore and Evermore credits.
A common mix-up is assuming every Folklore collaborator worked on “august.” Aaron Dessner produced many album tracks, but this song’s listed co-producer is Joe Alwyn.
