Which producer is credited alongside Taylor Swift on Taylor Swift’s “august”?

Jack Antonoff is credited as producer alongside Taylor Swift on “august.” Their co-production combines programmed drums, keyboards, guitars, bass, and atmospheric string writing into the song’s soft, cinematic sound.

Antonoff’s role links “august” to a broader body of Swift’s work. He co-wrote and produced songs on several earlier albums, while Folklore represented a shift toward indie-folk textures and fictional storytelling. The song was recorded and assembled through remote collaboration during the 2020 lockdown period, a process that shaped the album’s intimate character.

Aaron Dessner is a frequent source of confusion because he was another central Folklore collaborator and produced many tracks. Dessner is not the producer answer for “august” in the song’s principal credits. Max Martin and Ryan Tedder are also major pop producers associated with Swift’s catalog, but neither is credited on this recording.
