Joe Alwyn received additional producer credit on Taylor Swift’s song “august.”
Swift and Jack Antonoff are the song’s principal credited producers, while Alwyn is also listed among the producers for the track. Alwyn worked with Swift on Folklore under the pseudonym William Bowery, a credit that attracted considerable attention when the album was released.
Alwyn contributed to several Folklore songs, including writing and production work. His involvement helped make the album a collaborative project even though much of its public creative identity centered on Swift, Antonoff, and Aaron Dessner.
A common mix-up is treating Alwyn as a co-writer of every Folklore song. His credited role on “august” is producer, while the songwriters listed are Swift and Antonoff.
