Nolan North provided the English voice of Desmond Miles in the Assassin's Creed series.
Desmond is the modern-day central character of the early games. Through the Animus, he relives memories inherited from ancestors including Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, Ezio Auditore and Connor Kenway. North's performance helped connect the historical storylines to the contemporary plot involving Abstergo and the Assassin Brotherhood.
Nolan North is an American voice actor known for extensive work in video games and animation. He also voiced other characters in the franchise, including Desmond's ancestor Altaïr in the first Assassin's Creed. This can cause confusion because the two roles belong to different time periods and personalities.
Desmond's importance is greatest in the first five major games, before the series shifted toward more independent modern-day protagonists and a less continuously focused contemporary narrative.
