Who presented British Group at the 2026 Brit Awards with Bez?

Shaun Ryder presented British Group at the 2026 BRIT Awards with Bez.

Ryder and Bez are members of Happy Mondays, the influential Manchester band associated with the Madchester scene. Their appearance gave the newly Manchester-based ceremony a strong local connection, especially because the 2026 BRITs were held at Co-op Live rather than in London.

They presented the award to Wolf Alice, who won Group of the Year. The band had previously won the same honour in 2022, making the 2026 result a second victory in the category. Other nominees included The Last Dinner Party, Pulp, Sleep Token and Wet Leg.

The question uses “British Group,” while the ceremony’s official materials also used “Group of the Year.” These refer to the same 2026 BRIT category. Bez is best known for his dancing and percussion with Happy Mondays, while Ryder is the group’s singer and lyricist.
