Which Dave album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2026 Brit Awards?
Answer
The Boy Who Played the Harp
The Dave album nominated for Album of the Year at the 2026 BRIT Awards was The Boy Who Played the Harp.
Released on 24 October 2025 through Neighbourhood Recordings, it is Dave’s third studio album. The record followed We’re All Alone in This Together, released in 2021, and came after the 2023 collaborative EP Split Decision, which Dave made with Central Cee. Its title alludes to the biblical story of David playing the harp for Saul, linking the rapper’s stage name with the album’s imagery and themes.
The nomination is easy to mix up with Dave’s earlier catalogue. Psychodrama was his debut studio album and won British Album of the Year at the 2020 BRIT Awards. We’re All Alone in This Together was his second studio album. Neither is the 2026 nominee. The Boy Who Played the Harp instead continued Dave’s run of major British rap recognition.
The album also became Dave’s third consecutive UK number-one album, a significant chart milestone. Its nomination sat in the main Album of the Year field alongside releases by artists including Lily Allen, Olivia Dean, Sam Fender and Wolf Alice.
