Who plays Jürgen Voller in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny?

Mads Mikkelsen plays Jürgen Voller in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

Voller is a former Nazi scientist who later works under an assumed identity for the United States space program. He wants to recover the Antikythera and use its calculated temporal capabilities to alter history. The character serves as the principal human antagonist of the 2023 film.

Mikkelsen plays both Voller’s postwar identity and his earlier wartime appearance. The role connects Dial of Destiny to the historical shadow of the Second World War while moving the action into the space-race era of the 1960s.

Mikkelsen is a Danish actor known internationally for films and television including Casino Royale, Another Round, and Hannibal. He is sometimes confused with Antonio Banderas, who appears in the film as Renaldo, a friendly diver and boat captain. Renaldo helps Indiana and Helena; Voller opposes them.
