Who plays Jimmy Conroy, also known as Solo, in Silo season 3?

Steve Zahn plays Jimmy Conroy, better known as Solo, in Silo season 3. Solo is the strange and isolated survivor Juliette encounters inside the abandoned Silo 17.

The character’s nickname reflects his solitary existence. After a rebellion and catastrophic events emptied Silo 17, Solo remained behind, living in the sealed IT department and guarding its entrance. His knowledge of the abandoned community, its systems, and its supplies makes him essential to Juliette as she searches for a way to survive and return home.

The name Jimmy Conroy can be easy to miss because the character is introduced primarily as Solo. Another potential mix-up is confusing him with Lukas Kyle, played by Avi Nash, or Robert Sims, played by Common. Zahn’s performance emphasizes Solo’s nervous humor, guarded behavior, and vulnerability, giving the character a complicated history beneath his eccentric appearance. Zahn is also known for roles in Reality Bites, Saving Silverman, and The White Lotus.
