Who played the character of John Locke on Lost?
Answer
Terry O'Quinn
Answer
Terry O'Quinn
Terry O’Quinn played John Locke on Lost. Locke is introduced as a mysterious, resourceful survivor who quickly becomes one of the central figures in the series’ mythology.
Before the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, Locke used a wheelchair after being pushed from an eight-story window by his father, Anthony Cooper. After landing on the island, he unexpectedly regained the use of his legs, which led him to believe that the island had chosen or healed him. His faith in the island often put him at odds with Jack Shephard and other survivors.
O’Quinn’s performance earned him the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2007. Viewers sometimes confuse him with Michael Emerson, who played Benjamin Linus, another major Lost character.
