Who played Rocky Balboa in the 2006 film Rocky Balboa?

Sylvester Stallone played Rocky Balboa in the 2006 film Rocky Balboa.

Stallone had originated the character in the 1976 film Rocky and returned for all six films in the original Rocky series. In Rocky Balboa, Rocky is retired from professional boxing but decides to pursue an exhibition bout against the much younger heavyweight champion Mason “The Line” Dixon.

Stallone also wrote and directed Rocky Balboa. The film was designed as a continuation of Rocky’s personal story after Rocky V, with greater emphasis on grief, aging, memory, and the desire to test oneself.

Antonio Tarver played Dixon, while Milo Ventimiglia played Rocky’s adult son Robert. Those roles are separate from Stallone’s title-character performance.
