Who performed with Taylor Swift during her 2021 Grammy performance of “august”?

Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner performed with Taylor Swift during her 2021 Grammy performance of “august.” The trio accompanied Swift during the medley of “cardigan,” “august,” and “willow.”

Antonoff and Dessner were central collaborators on Folklore. Antonoff co-wrote and co-produced “august,” while Dessner produced much of the album and co-wrote many of its songs. Their presence made the performance a showcase of the creative team behind Swift’s pandemic-era albums.

Joe Alwyn was also credited as a producer on “august,” but he did not join Swift onstage for this Grammy performance. The event marked the first time Swift, Antonoff, and Dessner performed together as a trio.
