Who narrates the prologue and epilogue of the 2015 film Minions?
Answer
Geoffrey Rush
Answer
Geoffrey Rush
Geoffrey Rush narrates the prologue and epilogue of the 2015 film Minions. His voice frames the story by introducing the Minions’ existence from the beginning of time and returning at the end as the film connects their search for a master to the arrival of a young Gru.
Rush’s narration gives the movie a mock-historical, storybook quality. The opening presents the Minions as creatures who have always sought the most despicable master available, following figures such as a Tyrannosaurus, an Egyptian pharaoh and Napoleon. Their repeated accidents leave them without a leader and motivate Kevin, Stuart and Bob to search for a new one.
Geoffrey Rush is an Australian actor known for film, theatre and television work, including Shine, Shakespeare in Love and The King’s Speech. He is not one of the actors voicing the principal human characters in the story. Jon Hamm plays Herb Overkill, Michael Keaton plays Walter Nelson, and Steve Coogan voices the Tower Guard and Professor Flux.
