Who is the young rival racer competing against Lightning McQueen in Pixar's Cars 3?

Jackson Storm is the young rival racer competing against Lightning McQueen in Pixar's Cars 3.

Storm represents a new generation of highly engineered racers. He is faster, more aerodynamic, and supported by advanced simulation and training systems. His rapid success makes Lightning question whether experience and traditional racing knowledge can still compete with modern technology.

Lightning's struggle against Storm drives the film's training storyline. With help from his new trainer Cruz Ramirez, Lightning studies racing history, experiments with different methods, and eventually learns that winning is not the only way to preserve his place in the sport.

Storm is voiced by Armie Hammer. Although he is presented as an intimidating champion, the film's deeper conflict is between generations rather than a simple battle between good and evil. Cruz's development ultimately becomes as important as Lightning's attempt to defeat Storm.
