Who is the playable Medjay protagonist of Assassin's Creed Origins?
Answer
Bayek of Siwa
Answer
Bayek of Siwa
The playable Medjay protagonist of Assassin's Creed Origins is Bayek of Siwa.
Bayek is a protector from the Siwa Oasis in Ptolemaic Egypt. The game follows him and his wife, Aya, as they investigate a conspiracy connected to the deaths of their son and other political events. Their actions help establish the Hidden Ones, the historical organization that later develops into the Assassin Brotherhood.
Origins is set mainly during the first century BCE, when Egypt is ruled by Cleopatra and Ptolemy XIII. Bayek travels across deserts, cities, villages, and tombs while confronting members of the Order of the Ancients. His Medjay background explains his authority as a local protector and his familiarity with Egyptian communities.
Bayek is not the same character as Basim, who stars in Assassin's Creed Mirage. Aya is also a major playable character in selected sequences, but Bayek is the principal player character throughout Origins.
