iKON is the only YG Entertainment group whose members collectively moved to a new agency altogether. After their YG contracts ended on December 30, 2022, all six members signed with 143 Entertainment in January 2023.
The group had debuted under YG in 2015 after appearing on the survival program Mix & Match. Their early hits included “My Type,” “Rhythm Ta,” and “Love Scenario,” the latter becoming one of South Korea’s biggest digital successes of 2018.
The wording matters because individual artists and former YG acts have departed at different times, while iKON left as a complete group and continued using the group name. They released the album Take Off in 2023 under 143 Entertainment, beginning a new phase outside YG.
