Who is the master of Terra, Aqua, and Ventus in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep?

Master Eraqus is the master of Terra, Aqua, and Ventus in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. He trains the three young Keyblade wielders at the Land of Departure and serves as their mentor and father figure.

Eraqus is one of the few remaining Keyblade Masters and is strongly committed to protecting the worlds from darkness. At the beginning of Birth by Sleep, he conducts the Mark of Mastery exam for Terra and Aqua. Aqua passes and becomes a Keyblade Master, while Terra fails after Eraqus senses darkness in his heart.

His strict opposition to darkness shapes the story and contributes to his conflict with Master Xehanort, his former friend and fellow Keyblade student. Eraqus’s fear of darkness also leads him to make a devastating decision involving Ventus. Ansem the Wise, Yen Sid, and Master Xehanort are important figures in the series, but none is the direct teacher of all three protagonists in Birth by Sleep.
