Miles Axlerod is the main villain behind the conspiracy in Pixar's Cars 2.

Axlerod presents himself as a former oil tycoon who has become an environmental advocate. He creates the World Grand Prix to promote Allinol, a supposedly clean alternative fuel, and publicly frames the competition as a way to demonstrate the fuel's benefits. Behind that public image, he organizes a scheme involving electromagnetic weapons and the race's competitors.

The plot depends on a fuel-related conspiracy. Cars using Allinol are targeted so that spectacular crashes can be broadcast, damaging public confidence in alternative fuel. Axlerod intends to profit from the resulting return to petroleum-based fuel. Mater, Lightning McQueen, and British agents Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell gradually uncover the plan.

Axlerod is voiced by Eddie Izzard. Professor Zündapp is another antagonist and a key collaborator, but he is not the mastermind. Finn McMissile is an ally and spy, despite initially appearing suspicious to Mater. The twist is revealed near the film's conclusion in London.
