Who is the main spy villain in Pixar's Cars 2?

Professor Zündapp is the main spy villain in Pixar's Cars 2.

Professor Zündapp, commonly called “Professor Z,” is an eccentric German scientist who helps organize a scheme involving the World Grand Prix. He uses a device that makes Allinol-powered cars appear dangerous, intending to influence public opinion and create worldwide turmoil.

The film's espionage plot brings Lightning McQueen and Mater into an international adventure involving secret agents Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell. Mater is mistaken for a spy, while McQueen competes in races across Japan, Italy, and the United Kingdom.

Miles Axlerod is also a major antagonist, but he is the film's hidden mastermind rather than Professor Zündapp's subordinate scientific collaborator. Professor Zündapp is voiced by Thomas Kretschmann and is styled partly as a parody of classic spy-film villains.
