“Who is the main artist on the 2026 studio album Confessions II?” — Madonna. Confessions II is Madonna’s fifteenth studio album and was released through Warner Records on July 3, 2026.
The album was conceived as a sequel to 2005’s Confessions on a Dance Floor, reuniting Madonna with producer Stuart Price. Like its predecessor, it is structured as a continuous DJ-style mix and draws on house, disco, dance-pop, electronic music and related club styles. Its themes include freedom, escapism, self-realization, grief and spirituality.
Several collaborators appear around Madonna without changing the album’s primary-artist credit. Sabrina Carpenter features on “Bring Your Love,” Martin Garrix collaborates on “Bizarre,” and Stromae contributes vocals to “My Sins Are My Savior.” Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon co-wrote “The Test,” while Kylie Minogue appears on a remix of “Love Sensation.”
The distractors represent different kinds of associations: Lourdes Leon is Madonna’s daughter and collaborator, Carpenter is a guest vocalist, and Minogue appears on a remix. None is the main artist credited for the studio album. Madonna remains the central performer, songwriter and artistic figure behind Confessions II.
