Who is the main antagonist of Pixar’s Cars 2?

Miles Axlerod is the main antagonist of Pixar’s Cars 2. He presents himself as a former oil baron and the organizer of the World Grand Prix, but he secretly orchestrates the film’s plot.

Axlerod promotes Allinol, an alternative fuel, as the official fuel of the race. His scheme uses electromagnetic weapons to make cars running on Allinol malfunction during broadcasts, creating fear about the fuel and supporting his hidden plan.

The character’s identity is eventually exposed in London. He is voiced by Eddie Izzard. Professor Zündapp and the lemons work with Axlerod, but Axlerod is the figure directing the larger conspiracy.
