Who is the first character you play as in "Injustice 2"?

Batman is the first character you play as in Injustice 2. He leads the opening playable chapter, “Godfall,” as the game establishes the aftermath of Superman’s defeated Regime and Batman’s struggle to rebuild society.

The choice fits the game’s story position. Injustice 2 follows the events of Injustice: Gods Among Us, where Superman’s authoritarian rule has ended but its consequences remain. Batman is trying to contain surviving Regime forces while dealing with allies, enemies, and the emergence of the villainous Society.

Batman is not the only character controlled during the campaign. Story chapters shift between heroes and villains, including Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and others. The game’s roster also includes 28 fighters in its base version, with additional downloadable characters released later. Players may encounter cinematic scenes featuring several characters before or around the opening, but Batman is the first playable character in the main story chapter.
