Who is the female supervillain voiced by Sandra Bullock in Minions?

Scarlet Overkill is the female supervillain voiced by Sandra Bullock in Minions. She is the central human antagonist of the 2015 animated film, which follows Kevin, Stuart, and Bob as they search for a new master.

The Minions meet Scarlet at Villain-Con, a convention for criminals, in 1968. She presents herself as the world’s first female supervillain and hires the trio to steal Queen Elizabeth II’s crown. Scarlet takes them to London, where her husband Herb Overkill supplies elaborate inventions for their criminal schemes.

Scarlet is ambitious, theatrical, and highly competitive, but her partnership with the Minions becomes increasingly chaotic. Bullock joined the voice cast in 2013, while Jon Hamm voiced Herb. Scarlet is often confused with Belle Bottom, another female villain from Minions: The Rise of Gru, or Lucy Wilde, Gru’s wife and an Anti-Villain League agent.
