Who is the CEO of Google as of 2024?
Answer
Sundar Pichai
Who is the CEO of Google as of 2024? As of 2024, the CEO of Google was Sundar Pichai.
Pichai joined Google in 2004 and worked on products including Google Toolbar and Google Chrome. His leadership of Chrome helped raise his profile inside the company, and he later became responsible for major product areas such as Android, Search, Maps, and Google Play.
He became Google’s chief executive officer in August 2015, when Google created Alphabet as its parent company. In December 2019, Pichai also became CEO of Alphabet, succeeding co-founder Larry Page. That means he led both Google and its parent company during 2024.
A frequent source of confusion is mixing the roles of Google CEO and Alphabet CEO. Pichai held both positions in 2024. Eric Schmidt was Google’s CEO before Page, while Sergey Brin and Larry Page are co-founders rather than the company’s CEO at that time.
