Who is on the cover of EA Sport's "FIFA 19"?

Cristiano Ronaldo is on the cover of EA Sports’ FIFA 19. EA Sports presented Ronaldo as the game’s primary cover star, continuing the footballer’s prominent association with the FIFA series after FIFA 18.

FIFA 19 was released in September 2018 and introduced the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League licenses, a major selling point for the edition. Ronaldo appeared in the standard edition artwork, while Neymar Jr. joined him on the Champions and Ultimate Edition covers. That edition difference can cause confusion, but Ronaldo is the canonical answer to the general cover question.

The game was developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows, with legacy versions for older consoles. It also continued The Journey story mode, following fictional footballer Alex Hunter.

Ronaldo’s cover status changed in 2019 after EA updated FIFA 19’s branding and menus following his departure from Real Madrid and his subsequent legal controversy. Those later changes do not alter who originally headlined the FIFA 19 cover.
