Wanda Sykes hosted Philadelphia’s One Philly: Unity Concert for America during America250.
The free concert took place on July 4, 2026, along Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway. It was organized as one of the city’s major public celebrations for the United States Semiquincentennial and combined live music with a fireworks finale.
Sykes, an American comedian, actor, writer, and producer, served as the event’s host. The performance lineup included Philadelphia-linked artists and nationally known performers such as The Roots, Jill Scott, Will Smith, Seal, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Meek Mill, and Christina Aguilera, although Aguilera was unable to perform because of a weather delay.
The event’s name can cause confusion because Philadelphia also hosts Wawa Welcome America, a separate Independence Day celebration. One Philly was specifically presented as a unity concert connected with the nation’s 250th anniversary.
