Answer
Bryan Singer
Answer
Bryan Singer
Bryan Singer directed X2, the 2003 sequel to X-Men.
X2 is also known by the subtitle X-Men United. Singer returned after directing the 2000 original and expanded the story’s focus to include the mutant community, government persecution, and Colonel William Stryker’s campaign against Xavier’s school.
The film was written by Michael Dougherty, Dan Harris, and David Hayter. Its ensemble included Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen as Magneto, and Brian Cox as Stryker. The sequel is often remembered for its opening White House sequence and its dramatic ending at Alkali Lake.
Singer did not direct every film in the original series. Brett Ratner directed X-Men: The Last Stand, while Matthew Vaughn directed X-Men: First Class. Singer later returned to the franchise as director of X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse.
