In Logan, what is the name of the young mutant whose genetic code is linked to Wolverine?

The story behind the answer

Laura Kinney is the young mutant whose genetic code is linked to Wolverine in Logan.

Laura is introduced as a child with Wolverine’s accelerated healing, adamantium claws and heightened senses. She was created from Wolverine’s DNA as part of the Transigen program, making her a genetic successor rather than a conventional daughter born to him.

In the film, Laura is also called X-23, the designation used by Transigen. Dafne Keen portrays Laura, while Hugh Jackman plays Logan. Their relationship develops as they travel with other children escaping the organization’s control.

The character originated in Marvel Comics, where Laura first appeared as X-23 before taking the Wolverine name. The film uses both identities, which is why answers that give only “X-23” can be related but less specific than her personal name, Laura Kinney.
