Who directed X-Men Origins: Wolverine?
Answer
Gavin Hood
Answer
Gavin Hood
Gavin Hood directed X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The 2009 film explores Wolverine’s early life, his relationship with Victor Creed, and the experiments that connect him to the Weapon X program. Hugh Jackman reprises Wolverine, a role he first played in the 2000 film X-Men.
Gavin Hood is a South African filmmaker whose earlier work included Tsotsi, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was his major studio superhero production and was filmed partly in Australia and New Zealand, among other locations.
The film is often confused with The Wolverine and Logan, both of which were directed by James Mangold. It is also distinct from Deadpool, whose character appears in a substantially altered form in this movie. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was released in May 2009.
