Who did the voice of Stinky Pete the Prospector in "'Toy Story 2"?
Answer
Kelsey Grammer
Answer
Kelsey Grammer
Kelsey Grammer provided the voice of Stinky Pete the Prospector in “Toy Story 2.” Stinky Pete is an elderly prospector doll and one of the central members of the fictional Woody's Roundup toy collection.
In the film, Woody encounters Stinky Pete after being stolen by Al McWhiggin, a toy collector who plans to sell Woody and the other Roundup characters to a museum in Japan. Stinky Pete initially appears to be a wise older figure who wants the collection preserved, but he eventually reveals that he has manipulated events because he resents being ignored and never having had a child owner.
Grammer's performance gives the character a polished, theatrical voice that contrasts with the more youthful energy of Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye. The role is sometimes confused with Grammer's television work, especially his famous portrayal of Frasier Crane, or with other Pixar voice actors such as Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. “Toy Story 2” was released in 1999 and expanded the series' story beyond Andy's bedroom into the world of collecting and abandoned toys.
