Who created the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation?
Answer
Anthony E. Zuiker
Answer
Anthony E. Zuiker
Anthony E. Zuiker created the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
Zuiker developed the show's concept as a drama centered on forensic investigators who use physical evidence, laboratory analysis, and crime-scene reconstruction to solve cases. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer helped develop and produce the project, but he was not the series creator.
The pilot eventually found a home at CBS after other major American networks passed on the concept. CSI premiered on October 6, 2000, and became the foundation of a large television franchise. Zuiker remained closely involved as an executive producer and creative force.
The title is also the source of a frequent quiz mistake: CSI launched spin-offs including CSI: Miami, CSI: NY, and CSI: Cyber, but the creator credit belongs to Zuiker. Jerry Bruckheimer is best identified as a major producer, while J.J. Abrams and David Caruso were not creators of the original series.
